PH517-61having issues with predator sense app not installing after Microsoft update

Hello everyone,

After a recent Microsoft update, I encountered an issue where Predator Sense wouldn’t open. This is something that typically happens after every update. Usually, I resolve it by uninstalling and reinstalling the program, and that usually works fine. However, this time, after reinstalling (and ensuring I downloaded the latest version from Acer), only the Predator Sense services are installed, not the actual Predator Sense app itself.

I’ve tried reinstalling multiple times, but every time, it only installs the services and not the app. I’ve also made sure to install all available updates, including drivers, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

    Hi, exactly what update would that be? Your BIOS version 1.09 is from 2019 for Windows10 22H2, updates are no longer provided. If you installed Windows11 24H2 with an ISO image it may not be compatible with your system.

    Follow these steps.

    1. Open Control Panel. Search 'programs'.
    2. Uninstall any entries for Predator Sense app and non-M icro soft 3rd party virus scanners.
    3. Then search 'button' in Control Panel.
    4. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in the left pane.
    5. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near top of next pane.
    6. Scroll down and Uncheck the box for fast startup. Save settings.
    7. Shut down Windows normally. Wait a minute. Then turn it back on again.

    Then download, unzip and install this version of Predator Sense.

    After installation is complete, shutdown Windows normally again. Wait a minute. Then turn it back on. Search Windows start menu 'Predator Sense'. Click on Predator Sense app near top of start menu.
