P214-55-55BS: Should I enable TPM again before booting Windows just for a BIOS upgrade?

To do an upgrade of the BIOS I need to switch NVMe drives to the one with Windows installed, but I have TPM still disabled (because I didn't want to complicate my Linux installation). If I were to do an upgrade, do I have to temporarily enable TPM before doing the BIOS upgrade or does that not matter? I am just wondering whether doing a BIOS upgrade when booting a non-TPM system would allow me to ever get the system back in a TPM protected state.

If there is a less involved way than removing 12 screws to do a BIOS upgrade on Linux, I am all ears. On other laptops it was always possible to boot something like FreeDOS and upgrade via that method.
