Hi,

running on Linux mint and windows. Seven month old purchase. What happens. Battery is not recharging or is doing so very very slowly. PSU is shown as being plugged in. What I've done. Bought new PSU, I get exactly the same result.

Can anyone advise? Should I try another PSU ? Or could something be wrong with the battery or even the usb-c? One usb port won't show recarge at all. I've attached the linux battery monitor graph which looks crazy

Spec calls for a 65W USB-C charger that is delivering 3.25A@20V. I wonder if there's something in the drivers for the charging circuit that is used to recognize that there is 20V available and switches into a 'fast charge' mode? If so, it might be just pulling power as if you had a phone charger connected… That's usually handled by hardware though, so I might be way off base.

Thanks that seems possible. I've ordered another PSU. If that doesn't work I suspect it has something to do with the board or a pin on the port being damaged

The latter is easy to test, just plug the charger into the other port. That will show if it's a mechanical issue with the port.

Thanks, one port doesn't see any charger at all. I think this has always been the case since I purchased it. The other as above, seen but hours to recharge when powered down
