Acer Nitro XV275K P3 HDMI does not allow 160Hz? Has anyone been able to set a custom resolution?

I have a HDMI 2.1 cable, GPU (3060 Ti), and monitor, so HDMI 2.1 should theoretically be able to deliver 4K 160Hz. Why is there no setting on the monitor? HDMI is otherwise a superior experience to using DP (faster alt-tab, nvidia DSR, NIS) so this is really important setting to me.
Did Acer cheap out on a $700 monitor and set the bandwidth to be half of whats capable on HDMI 2.1? Seriously what gives?
And does anyone know how to use CRU to set a custom resolution for HDMI to 160Hz?

Try to use the Display Port instead. It has a higher bandwidth than the HDMI.
In the monitor description on the Acer page, the HDMI maximum frequency is 144Hz. HDMI 2.1 can do only 120-144Hz at 4K.
