Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS
RAM: 16GB, DDR5
Storage: 1000GB SSD PCIe NVMe
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 + AMD Radeon 780M
Display: 17.3", 2560 x 1440px, IPS Panel, 165Hz

Is the ACER Nitro 17 AN17-42-R3QA from 2024? There are very few reviews or opinions available about this model. Does it use the same new cooling system as the Nitro 16, or is it different?

I would greatly appreciate any insights, as I am planning to purchase it next week. Thank you in advance!

The reason why there are very few reviews on the Nitro 17 AN17-42-R3QA and opinions is because the AMD platform laptops are not very popular, as from the forum's perspective and many posts of members, they have driver problems, bios and these laptops also overheat, and are not as well supported as the Intel platforms. Buy an Intel system laptop as they are the best for gaming, editing and all multitasking platforms, yes, the AMD systems are great gaming platforms in their desktop formats and all gamers use them, but their laptop variants are not the same.

IMO and if you want a Nitro 17 inch gaming, editing and multitasking platform, buy either the older Nitro AN17-71 with the 13th Gen i7-13700HX / GeForce® RTX™ 4060 / that can have a max total of 32 GB 2x 16GB DDR5-4800MT/s type ram, or buy the latest Nitro AN17-72 with its 14th Gen i7-14700HX / NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 4060 / that can have a max total of 32 GB 2x 16GB DDR5-5600MT/s type ram, as this laptop will be 100% better than the AMD AN17-42 systems. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
