Acer KB272 Monitor screen quit showing attached Chromebook CB515-HT screen ... Why?

I just bought and installed the following Acer components:

  1. LCD Monitor KB2 Series/KB272 (27" screen) P/N UM.HK2AA.004
  2. 5-IN-1 USB C Hub (USB-C to HDMI) Model #ODK4C0; P/N ZL.DCKCC.02T

The 5-IN-1 USB C Hub's cable is connected to the Chromebook and its ports are configured per the following:

  1. HDMI port to HDMI on KB272
  2. USB 2.0 not used
  3. USB 2.0 not used
  4. USB 3.0 HP Smart Tank 5100 Series Printer
  5. USB-C Power to the hub

I followed instructions and installed everything correctly, powered up, went to Chrome and saw the new display and made required adjustments. The Chromebook screen appeared on the KB272 and I dimmed the Chromebook screen. So everything seemed to be working initially.

Now it does not!

  1. When I go to look for the KB272 in Chromebook settings (lower right-settings-device-Displays) there is no sign of the new monitor
  2. The KB272 is powered up and shows in its lower right corner (when you push the External control): Input: HDMI 1.4; Auto Source: Off (if On it does not matter)
  3. I have powered off/on everything and nothing changes:
    1. The KB272 goes through it's sequence and shows "No Signal".
    2. The Chromebook operates like the KB272 is not there

I'm sure there is a simple a simple explanation or procedure I am missing to make it consistent, e.g. open Chromebook, cast screen to KB272, sound, etc.

Thanks
