Turn it on, login to Windows with your Microsoft password and connect to the internet with your Wi-Fi router. Complete the Acer Set Up procedure to register your laptop online, I recommend uninstalling some of the preinstalled bloatware like 3rd-party browsers, virus checkers (you need to download a special uninstaller for that) and trial programs like Office365, check Task Manager-Processes that you don't have more than 70-80 apps running at the background. Enjoy your new Nitro V15. 😉

Follow the on-screen instructions to select your preferred language, region, and keyboard layout, and connect to a Wi-Fi network. Sign in with your Microsoft account or create one if you don’t have it yet. Once you've completed this, allow Windows to check for and install updates to ensure your system has the latest security patches and software enhancements. Next, visit the Acer Support website to download and install the necessary drivers by entering your laptop’s model number. Configure your security settings, including setting up Windows Hello if available, and ensure your antivirus software is active and up to date. Finally, install any essential software applications you need, such as office productivity tools and web browsers.

Thanks for the prompt replies. Before I start getting into downloading and such, is there a "proper" way to charge the battery? I would assume the battery needs to be charged.

Thanks again for the replies. They make life just a little easier!

While modern laptop batteries have built-in protection against overcharging, it's still a good practice to avoid keeping your laptop plugged in all the time. Once the battery reaches 100%, it's best to unplug it to prevent overcharging. Overcharging can strain the battery cells and reduce their lifespan.
The best thing you can do is try to keep the battery level between 60 percent to 90 percent. Make sure that your laptop doesn't get too hot and your cooling fan is working properly. Your laptop battery can't “overcharge” and harm itself due to excessive charging. It's smart enough to bypass the charging energy.
