I recently purchased Aspire3. Its fan makes wierd noise at low speed. It's like cat cat... Cut cut..... Arrrrr..

Also charger is giving AC voltage at output that is causing shock.

The quality of components is definitely questionable. I m not happy after purchasing it.

Hi, electrostatics can happen when the power adapter or USB-C is not properly grounded to a well-grounded 3-pin electrical wall outlet regardless of what laptop brand is used. The fan noise could be some lint, dirt or even insects that got inside the laptop, I recommend taking it to Acer Services to check and clean the cooling fan.

It is not just electrostatic. Charger is giving around 10V AC. Because of it I get vibrations and shock when bare foot. I have one HP, one Lenevo and one Dell laptop. None of the charger gives AC voltage at output. They all are giving zero volt AC.

A good charger must give only DC not AC.

What is your exact Aspire 3 laptop model, as and if its still under warranty or just out of warranty, send your laptop back to Acer Tech Support as the laptop should not be giving you a shock, which is very unusual fault. Also, the laptops fans might have a faulty bearing and need changing and its power rail checked. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Its new. Purchased last month. I have talked to service centre but they are very lazy. Still service is pending.

Get Acer Tech Support to fix this laptop for you under warranty and don't let the warranty expire, or if they can't, get them to replace the laptop, as the power shock is dangerous and should not be happening. Good luck and hope I've helped you out.
