I have a Acer Predator Helios 300 Laptop with ph-515-52 model. I currently have 256 gb ssd (C drive) and 1 TB hdd. The C drive is almost full and is currently causing speed issues in my laptop. I also have 16 GB RAM (haven't changed them since I bought the laptop 5 years ago) and I'm not sure if I need to upgrade them also. I need suggestions on what SSDs can be upgraded to. I'm getting confused between which generation SSDs I have to upgrade to. Some mention 3x4 and others mention 4x4 gen. Idk how these work. Based on the generation please suggest the best SSDs that in the market for the black friday deals.

This model supports M.2 2280 slot SSD both Sata 3 and PCIe NVMe Gen3x4 up to 1TB. The Samsung Sata-3 860 Evo and NVMe Gen3 970 Evo Plus are very reliable SSDs. !6GB RAM is sufficient memory for most applications, but you can upgrade with 2x16GB SODIMMs to a total of 32GB DDR4-2666MHz RAM.

So it's better not to go for 4x4 gen SSDs right? Also, is RAM upgrade really necessary? I believe the system slowness is because of C drive being full.
