The catch with upgrading laptop cpu's is that technicians can reball and change a cpu, gpu or chipset in a laptop but and its a "BIG BUT" is where are you going to buy and/or get an Intel i7-14700HX cpu, as Intel does not sell these cpu's new like they sell their desktop cpus. That is the catch 😁 in updating a laptop cpu or gpu or chipset which are not sold by either Intel or NVidia, so you need to be able to buy them used and from a damaged latop if the cpu is functioning and you are willing to take a chance. But for a new laptop like the PHN16-xx there are no such parts available on the market used, you could be lucky, but then you will need a specialist technician that can fit a cpu which is a very specialist job.
Note: you can also upgrade your Predator Neo 16 i5-14500HX to an i7-14700HX or even an i9-14900HX cpu by buying a new mainboard and changing the mainboard, but a new mainboard with the i7-14700HX cpu part #: NB.QQU11.001 for these laptops is like USD $2,981.36 and the i9-14900HX is USD$3,350.58 which are ridiculous prices that these manufacturers are asking for a new mainboard, as its pretty close to what the laptop is worth new, so its not worth it. Also, for 3k to 4k price, you can build a very top end desktop.
