Hi, if you ran the Command cleanmgr Disk Cleaner may have removed Samsung Magician program in Temp. You can download that again from Samsung Support but it just checks for driver updates. I checked on that SSD you have and found this: The SAMSUNG MZVL21T0HCLR-00B07 Gen4 SSD, also known as the PM9A1, is an OEM variant of the Samsung 980 Pro2. Both SSDs share similar specifications, such as the Samsung Elpis controller and PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. However, the PM9A1 is typically used in pre-built systems and may have slight differences in firmware and performance tuning compared to the retail 980 Pro.

Why didn't you install the Acer recommended SSDs for this laptop like the Samsung 970 Evo Plus or the WD SN750 Black NVMe M.2 SSD? This PCIe slot is 3x4 for a Gen3 SSD. Gen4 will work at half the rated speed and the Gen4 SSD you installed may require a special driver.

This M.2 SSD should work perfectly with your Nitro AN517-42, your Nitro has a Gen 4 x4 slot as its boot drive and a Gen 3 x2 as its 2nd M.2 drive.

Do the following to ensure that an M.2 SSD is recognized during Windows installation on an AMD CPU motherboard, so follow these steps:

    1. Check the BIOS settings: Make sure the BIOS is set to recognize M.2 SSDs. Some motherboards have a specific option for enabling M.2 SSD support.
    2. Install the correct drivers: Download and install the appropriate drivers for your specific motherboard and CPU combination. These drivers may include UEFI BIOS drivers or other components related to M.2 SSDs.
    3. Insert the M.2 SSD during installation: During the Windows installation, insert the M.2 SSD into the motherboard's M.2 slot to ensure it is detected.
    4. Check the Windows installation process: Follow the Windows installation process closely and make sure there are no errors or issues related to the M.2 SSD.
