Hi, I bought 2x Acer A315-56-39HP Laptops in 2022 for my kids to use at there school. After almost a year my sons laptop was just dead. I sent it to the supplier I bought it from and a screw came loose causing a short on the mainboard. The warranty claim was refused and I had to buy a new one. Less than 8 months later my daughters unit got the same problem. 2 screws this time came loose inside creating once again a short, I have sent this to my suppliers once again and I am assuming that the warranty is now over and I will just be stuck with replacing it as well. Surely the is not normal and my question would be what am I to do?

This is after the second time now obvious that there was an issue on the assembly line with screws not being tightened enough and customers are paying the price for it.

Kind Regards

Gerhard

    Hi Gerhard,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the Acer laptops. It seems there might be a quality control issue with the assembly, leading to loose screws causing shorts. I recommend reaching out directly to Acer support to explain the recurring problem. Document all correspondence and consider [Content removed] options if Acer is unresponsive. Sharing your experience on social media might also prompt a quicker response.

    Best regards,

    michelle
