Virus "IDP.Generic" detected in FpInstall.bat for software update through ACER Care Center.
Antivirus stopped all updates. Updates failed.
Send an email to ACER technical support did not work. Chat with ACER not active.
Impossible to inform ACER about this.
Communication with ACER is too complicated and too difficult.
Updates failed.

Hi, what virus checker are you using? If not Windows Defender just ignore it as Acer firmware updates don't contain malware, 3rd-party anti-virus programs can even identify 100% legit Windows system files as malware and when removed your system may crash. I recommend uninstalling 3rd-party programs pre-installed on your laptop and disabling Acer Care Center as this program does not run well in Windows11 and interferes with Windows update app. Enable Optional updates in "Check for updates" in Windows and you will receive the latest drivers and firmware before these are available on the Acer Support site. To disable Acer Care Center, stop the accSvc service in Windows Services and in Properties change the Startup type to Disabled, click on apply, same for accAgentSvc.
