The games seems to be very stuttering for the past few months or so and I double checked with my VRAM, it is surely not causing by the GPU and their temps are not above 75 max and CPU as well it sometimes reaches 100c but comes back to 90 most of the times and it is all in Turbo mode but when I checked my SSD speed is very slow and struggles in write speeds is it because of my SSD, I am experiencing very stuttering games especially in Black myth Wukong, Alan wake 2 and some unreal engine games it is very stuttery and unplayable and checked the benchmark in Turbo Mode.

My specs:

Name: Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 2023, CPU: I7-13700HX, RTX: 4050, RAM: 16GB

And my SSD seems to be SK HYNIX when I asked Chat GPT.

Show me your SSD partitions on your My PC explorer window.
It shows your C drive is not where the page file sits - where is your page file?

Also keep a min sized page file on C drive. Also, you do not need a 40 GB page file.

For SSD stuttering, is that only during games? Or in general too?

    Hi,

If possible, attach here also screenshot of the S.M.A.R.T. parameters collected by CrystalDiskInfo.

The Resource Monitor tool (Win + R, type: resmon.exe) can give you clues as to what is causing this excessive disk usage.

If it's only happening when you run your games (Alan Wake 2), it's possible that the DirectX or NVIDIA cache (Shader / Graphics data) is corrupted! In this case, try clearing the contents of the following folders:

    %localappdata%\NVIDIA\DXCache
    %localappdata%\NVIDIA\GLCache
    %localappdata%\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache

Just some additional suggestions to you, the PHN16-71 and 72 models Predator laptops use the 512GB HYNIX model HFS512GEJ9X125N Acer part#: KN.5120G.035 M.2 SSD, which is a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD drive that has an Acer specified Fast data transfer rate (Gbits / sec, max) of 4000MB/s, yes I know that Crystal Disk Mark benchmark reads it at 6734..10MB/s but this software can be wrong, do a test with another M.2 benchmarking software. If the M.2 SSD still has a Write speed of 1001.58MB/s then it could be that the Hynix M.2 SSD firmware needs updating, Download – SK hynix SSD to see if there is a new firmware for this drive, if the firmware doesn’t fix this problem then its the M.2 SSD drive that is faulty and needs replacing or the laptops M.2 slot is faulty.

I suggest that you use a top of the range M.2 SSD drive of a min capacity of 1TB PCIe Gen4 x4 like the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe or the Solidigm P44 Pro for the PHN16-xx laptops as these two M.2 SSD drives are the best and the quickest on the market and are made for gaming and editing and high speed use and will improve your laptop speeds considerably. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
