I am using predator helios 300 i7 12700h rtx 3060. My laptop battery is dead because I used to work on my laptop on turbo mode for long hours, cause of heavy tasks. Now, I am unable to switch on turbo mode and left with default mode on predator sense and unable to have the full potential of laptop. Need help how to remove battery limit from predator sense to get back the same performance. Need help ASAP. Its delaying my work.

    Hi @Abdullah911

How to use the Predator modes on your Acer Predator Helios laptops: (Some feature may or may not available depending on predator sense version and different model)

    Predator Modes

The Predator Helios 18 comes with several performance modes that you can select:

    • Quiet: Prioritizes low noise levels and reduced fan speeds for light tasks
    • Balanced: Provides a balance between performance and noise for everyday use
    • Performance: Increases performance for demanding workloads while allowing higher fan speeds
    • Turbo: Maximizes performance by allowing the CPU and GPU to run at higher clocks and fan speeds

    Manually Switching Modes

You can switch between these modes using the dedicated mode switch on the side of the laptop. However, this only changes the performance profile - it does not automatically adjust the fan speeds. To set custom fan speeds for each mode, you need to use the PredatorSense software:

    1. Open PredatorSense
    2. Select the mode you want to configure
    3. Adjust the fan speed slider to your desired setting
    4. Repeat for each mode

    Automatic Mode Switching

The laptop does not automatically switch between modes based on the workload. You need to manually select the desired mode using the hardware switch or PredatorSense before starting a game or demanding task. For best performance in games, I recommend using the Turbo mode. This will allow the CPU and GPU to run at their highest clocks for maximum framerates. However, be aware that Turbo mode generates more heat and noise. If the fans are too loud in Turbo, you can try the Performance mode which offers a good balance of speed and noise. The Balanced mode is suitable for everyday use when you don't need maximum performance.

If the battery is found to be dead it needs to get replaced, please refer to the support weblinks and get the battery replaced.
