Hello !

Acer support does not recognize a notebook eMachines G520

SNID : XXXXXXXXXXX

S/N : LXN140Y027XXXXXXXXXXXX

How is it possible ?

    As far as I can tell, that machine was released in 2009, so there is no surprise when Acer no longer has a support page for it. Updates are typically handled by Windows update after the first couple of years. That machine was initially released with Vista, but I expect Windows 7 worked on it as well. Windows 7 support went away several years ago, so even Windows update isn't likely to find newer drivers.

    I know all that information. I wonder other thing, how is it possible, that manufacturer is denying the staff which he produced ? I doubt that this is legal at all. I am typing in S/N or SNID and site is answering : we can not recognize that stuff !

    They only keep the database entries for systems that are still potentially in warranty. That might be longer than the consumer warranty for corporate customers, but I know of no manufacturers that have warranties that last for fifteen years.
