For the past 1 year i have carrying this ANS515-47 ACER Nitro 5 to service center cuz of over heating mostly iplay pubg in it the tems are capped at 100° on lobby and never goes below 98° my friend has same model ANS515-47 but that one never goes beyond 85° regarding this issue mother board has replaced three times but the issue persist also heatsink too replaced but it never get solved the engineers reinstalled os and installed all proper latest drivers in it still it didn't get fixed there is everything new in it all hardware's has been replaced .ssd and ram are still older ones .i asked for replacement cuz i dont think this repairs gonna fix this and they denied the device is still in warrenty. On gaming cpu usage is below 40% but the temps are 100° theres no logic in this and cant feel any heat . is there any way the reading of temps in nitro sense been wrong?

    If the Acer technicians have changed the mainboard 3 times and they have reinstalled the OS then there should be no problems with your laptop, as the mainboard is where the cpu and gpu are soldered to and affect the heat and the performance of the board. It could be that the Nitro Sense Acer software is faulty and Acer needs to fix that issue, as its not monitoring the temps correctly for your AN515-47 laptop (not the ANS515-47).

    Also, it could be the boot SSD1 M.2 drive that should be a PCIe 4x4 and it could be faulty or Acer fitted a lower spec Gen 3x4 type drive like the WD SN530, as they did that to my Aspire A515-57 laptop that should have a Gen 4 x4 M.2 and they fitted a cheaper WD SN530 Gen 3 x4 drive, to save costs, so check that out also.

    Nitro AN515-47 M.2 storage specs

    Your laptops M.2 drive if you are gamming should have a gaming Gen 4 x4 lane M.2 SSD type drive, like the WD Black SN850X or SN770 or the quickest drive the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSDs or any of these types of high end M.2 drives from other M.2 drives manufacturers. These M.2 drive when pushed hard or even at the laptop should be at arrange of temps between 32C to a max of 70C and not higher, but and if the laptop doesn’t have the correct Gen M.2 drive, the M.2 drive will overheat and can reach temps of 90C to 100C and deplete the laptops performance considerably and also contribute to a laptops overheating issues also.

    So and finally check what type of oem M.2 SSD drive your AN515-47 oem has and change it to a good and specialist high end gaming type drive like above or look here at this benchmarking tests for M.2 drives just done to give you a good idea of how these drives perform. Also I suggest that you put a good quality thermal pad right across the entire top of the M.2 drive and then a copper thin heatsink for extra cooling of the drive, as that works really well to keep these drives cooler, also buy a good multi fan laptop tablet cooler as that also assist in reducing temps if you game. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    @aadi_000,

    You can confirm that Nitro Sense software is reading your laptop's sensors correctly by comparing them with the readings obtained by the HWiNFO and/or HWMonitor utility.

    If possible, please attach screenshots of the results obtained.
