Start happening within a month of buying the laptop which was around Sep 2023. First I only had windows, and the laptop would restart once or twice every month. Then it started happening weekly, then by June 2024 it started happening every 20 minutes. The temps were always fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Around that time I installed ubuntu 22.04 (dual boot), and ubuntu was worse. Ubuntu would restart every 5 minutes.

I sent the laptop for repair under warranty but they reported that there was a firmware failure (whatever that means idk), and after reinstalling windows the laptop was stress tested for 16 hours and no issues were scene. After getting the laptop back I installed ubuntu as dual boot again. Within a few hours ubuntu started facing restarts again. Windows was fine for a month but even that started restarting again.

I sent the laptop for repair again. They reported that ‘there were several critical errors’ (again whatever that means) and after reinstalling windows and installing nvidia drivers the laptop passed all hardware tests and was stress tested for 4 days and did not show any issues.

Within 4 hours of getting the laptop back after this repair, I had faced 3 restarts on ubuntu already. Once while typing this very query so I had to type all of this again. I checked the logs and there was nothing around the time the laptop restarted. All temps were perfectly fine as well.

My warranty expires on November 9th 2024, and I have no idea what to do. I can not afford to buy another laptop and this laptop has already wasted so much of my time and affected my research at my college. Would it be possible to request a replacement or something?

Update: I have sent the laptop back for repair, as I was told by the customer support replacement is not possible. I still don't know what the solution to the problem should be.
