Ive had a Nitro an16 - 41 since this past May and i added an M.2 drive shortly after. I went with a 2tb T500 from Crucial. It worked fine for a few months, but now when i startup my computer the D drive doesn't show up. I used to be able to restart it and it come back right away, now I'm either having to hit f9 in the BIOS, or resolve and reinsert the drive all together. Any ideas on what it could be or how to fix this issue? I called tech support, and they told be it wasn't a approved drive brand (Samsung, Toshiba, Kensington, and 1 more), but i don't see how Crucial a supported brand isn't.

What could be happening is that you haven't initialized the drive within Disk Management and given the Crucial M.2 T500 drive a letter "D", as just formatting it is not enough.

Also Acer has tested this laptop with certain M.2 SSD drives listed below that you should use. The below positions is where the PCIe4x 4 lane boot drive (marked in yellow) is and the slave drive is on your the Nitro AN16-41 laptop. So and if you cant get the T500 M.2 SSD working then its not compatible with this laptop and/or its faulty and send it back to Crucial. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.

These are the Gen4x4 lane M.2 SSD drives tested by Acer with this laptop, you can also use the very quick Samsung 990 Pro NVMe drive as that is the quickest 2280 type M.2 drive sold on the market today and it will increase the performance of your laptop also to the oem Acer drives suggested.

Use this graphite wrap on the m.2 drive also
