Functionality issues after firmware update – Acer P1157I projector with Wi-Fi Dongle
Details and Context:
I recently purchased an Acer P1157I projector equipped with a Wi-Fi Dongle module for wireless connectivity. On the first use, the device’s menu displayed advanced options, including settings for Wi-Fi connection, 3D configuration, and mirroring options through the EasyCast app. I successfully connected my phone using EasyCast, configuring the projector to function as a router for wireless mirroring. Everything worked well until the EasyCast app prompted a firmware update, which I accepted. The update process completed without apparent issues.
After the update, I turned off the projector. Upon reopening it the next day, I noticed the following issues:
- The projector menu now only displays basic settings (projection mode, location, keystone, digital zoom, language, and reset), without the advanced options for Wi-Fi, 3D settings, or other configurations that were previously accessible.
- Wireless connection no longer works, even though the Wi-Fi option is still visible in the basic display image. However, attempts to connect do not produce any response from the device.
My question is: Is there a way to reinstall the initial firmware or an updated version that would restore the full menu and wireless functionality? If a specific procedure is required or there is a firmware version that can be manually downloaded and installed, please guide me on how to proceed.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
