Acer Nitro 5 What I need for a multiple monitor set up?

Hi all,

I recently got a a new Acer Nitro 5 i7-12650H RTX4050 laptop. I want to set up duel external monitors and use it like a desktop. I am not the most tech savy so I am not sure what i need to do this? I have ready some people saying a docking station will be needed and other saying it can be down by HDMI and USB? I am the monitors to work independently, i.e. not mirroring.

Also any advice on what I need in terms of monitor specs would be very helpful. I want to get two external monitors but wont be online gaming or anything fancy so just need something cheap but that best suits the level of quality of the laptop monitor and graphics card capabilities. .

The Nitro 5 AN515-58-73RS has Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort Alt mode. This means you can use the USB-C port for high-speed data transfer, charging, and connecting to external displays. Get a simple hub or complete docking station, depending on your budget, as you only have one USB-C port, don't use a splitter as that will only mirror the displays.
