Dear Acer Support Team,

I’m reaching out for help with a charging issue on my Acer Swift SF314. Since yesterday, the battery has been stuck at 21% despite being plugged in. The charging light turns orange, and the display shows it’s charging, but the laptop won’t run on battery power alone. It’s only working when connected to the charger.

On top of that, even the slightest movement or disruption of the power connection causes the laptop to shut down completely, which has led to a few instances of lost work. This has become a serious inconvenience, as I can’t rely on the battery at all.

Could you guide me through some troubleshooting steps or suggest a fix? I’d appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I request your kind offices in this regard.

Best regards,
Eugene

    Hi @Eugene_840

Could you please watch the following video and do a power drain/reset of your laptop's battery,

Which SF314 model do you have? They have been making different models in that product line for many years now, with both Intel and AMD based system, and there are literally hundreds of SKUs. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SF314-xxx-xxxx. If you leave it on the charger with the laptop turned off, does it eventually get to the fully charged, blue LED, state? You could have a bad charger if not…
