Hey,

Sadly my new Main-Monitor, the Acer Predactor XB283KKV, randomly looses signal.

He goes black, switches input to HMDI - tries DP and back to HDMI and DP… until it just stays black. Even if I disconnect DP or/and Power cable he won´t get a signal again.
To get it back to work only a restart works.

I´ve tried the following things:
1. new/different DP Cables (yes DP V1.4 , I even bought 2 new ones),
2. different Settings (refresh rate, resolution, power saving settings, HDR on/off, Scaling, etc)
3. All Driver updates / rollback last 3 graphic card drivers
4. Switch DP Ports on PC
5. Tried high end graphic settings on different games to reconstruct the "crash" with no success
6. Used my XB241H as main for a week without any issues - blackouts on the XB283KKV were still 2 - 3 times per day (1-3h apart).

Sadly the XB283KKV, bought it on 8.08.2024, is the only one making problems.
Switching Cables and Ports, settings, drivers…it all made no difference.

I´m running a setup with 3 Monitors
Acer Predator XB283KKV + Acer Predator + Asus VS248
Both Predators on DP Ports/Cable, Asus on HDMI

Resolutions / Refresh rates :
XB283KKV 3840x2160 / 144hz
XB241H 1920x1080 / 144Hz
VS248 1920x1080 / 60Hz

As a reminder: I´ve tried out the XB283KKB with 1920x1080 and frame rates 60-100-120-144 - didn´t mattter.
The blackouts leave no message in windows event viewer.

My PC Specs:
Windows 11 Pro
Intel i9 13900k / 32GB DDR5
Geforce RTX4070 Ti
MB: Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X AX

If anyone has any help or tipps i´d be happy to try out something else.

    Hi TerraFlex,

    Monitor self test,

    1. Power OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug all the cables.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the unit and check.

That doesn't sound at all like it should be acting. Contact your vendor to see if you are too late for a swap and if so open a ticket With Acer support to get it repaired. It's fairly normal for a monitor to blank for a couple of second when switching resolutions, but not for it to stay blank. I assume you have tried it on both DP ports from the GPU?
