I have acer nitro 5 an515-45 (Ryzen 7 5800h) and I used it without any issue for a nearly a year and after that I noticed that when I charge my laptop to 100% then its randomly hibernates (even after unplugging at 100%) and when I turn it on again it shows me low battery msg and showing 0% Battery left but I doesn't turns off because it actually has 100% battery.

The thing is I haven't noticed this abnormal behavior because I used Acer Care Center application to limit my battery to 80%.

Note: till 100% it doesn't show any abnormities (if I unplug it at 98% , 99% there no issue or using the limiter at 98% , 99% in acer care center)

Hi Uninstall Acer Care Center and in Services disable any occurrence of accSvc and AcerAgentSvc in Properties-Startup type and click on Apply. Disable Fast Startup and Hibernate in "Change what closing the lid does" and "Change settings currently unavailable". Update your BIOS or reset BIOS with F9 in BIOS and save changes on exit (F10). Reset your Power Plan to factory default in " Edit Power Plan". Click on Check for updates and download and install KB5044380 22 October2024, Battery use fixed: "A device uses too much battery power while the device is in Modern Standby".

I did everything even resetting the laptop nothing helped. ( but the strange thing is it didn't hibernate during the reset process, it was plugged in the whole time (took 2 or 3 hours) but nothing happened. )

Hi, if still the original battery from January 2021 it may be bad, run a battery report, paste this in the command prompt: powercfg /batteryreport and open the report with your Edge browser, right click and select "Print to Microsoft PDF", attach the report to your reply, type @Puraw or use "Quote" when you reply so I will get an alert. Alternatively take the laptop to Acer Services in your country, it may have a power rail issue, include your adapter.
