TC-1780-UA92 16GB stick A-Tech Memory issue

Two week old computer and I'm upgrading the memory…. Or will I ?

Just received 32GB kit that was recommended as the upgrade for my computer:

  • 16GB Module ( 1x 16GB ) | DDR4 3200 MHz ( PC4-25600 ) | DDR4 DIMM ( 288-Pin ) | Non-ECC Unbuffered | 2Rx8 - Dual Rank x8) | 1.2V - DDR4 Standard Voltage

When I inserted the memory, upon power up,the bios alarm produced a STEADY tone,
not beeps (codes) as described on the internet.

Tried both sticks seperately, same steady error tone on power up.

Called A-Tech Help#, it was Amazon, they are just sending a new kit.

Thoughts?

Steady beep is an indication of bad memory. What is the specific part number and manufacturer of the memory you purchased? DDR4 3200 is correct for your model, but it shouldn't be XMP enabled memory. You might have gotten bad sticks, were they new or used?
