MY system came with 8gb of ram

2 x 4gb sticks

I then brought 16gb

2 x 8gb

When I try them in there paired up slots I get a long beep, I have checked that the ram are the same voltage and type but they don't seem to work. What can I do?

The referenced pictures don't show anything about having a setup for 24gb. I don't see any reason why having 24 wouldn't work? Is there anything with configurations for 24gb

You must have bought the wrong ram (like XMP overclocked ram that this desktop doesn't work with) the N50-620 only works with ordinary ram like DDR4-3200MT/s CL 22 modules @ max total of 64GB in its 4x DIMM 288pin ram slots. See the memory specs and modules that Acer recommends below.

If you can't get the original oem Acer recommended 8GB DDR$-3200MT/s below, have a look at the Crucial 16GB kits Crucial 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4-3200 UDIMM - DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • UDIMM • 288-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8/1Rx16 • PC4-25600 that is recommended for the Acer NITRO N50-620 RAM & SSD Upgrades from Crucial. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    The Nitro N50-620 memory specs

The below chart are the only ram DIMM combination that work in the N50-620 desktop and the 24GB combo doesn't work!

The crucial one that you referenced is the exact ram that I purchased.

Is there any reason that it doesn't support 24gb?

Contact Crucial and tell them that their 2x 8GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 doesn't work (as they will change the ram or refund you) and get advice from them and either change the ram to a 1x 16GB or 4x 4GB of their ram modules, as the 2x 8GB might not be compatible with the N50-620 (which is very strange) or imo its best to always get the oem Acer recommended ram of either the Kingston or Micron ram that Acer lists for this desktop @ either 1x 16GB or 2x 8GB or 4x 4GB DDR4-3200MT/s ram listed above, as they tested this desktop with it and it works and they guarantee this ram to work 100%.

Also, update the bios to the N50-620 last 2022/03/22 - version R01-A4 - Fix Hynix BC711 SSD show Error in the SMART detection and also update the dated 2023/01/18 – Firmware – version: v1.02 and see if all this works and makes the Crucial ram compatible.
