I just bought an Acer Nitro display on 9/2 and today I stared having display issues where the screen just completely failed. Didn't turn off just turned out like the picture below.

It turns on but almost immediately the screen starts to rapidly flickering on the monitor. After around 10 minutes the screen turns into the picture attached while still rapidly flickering. I've have this monitor for about 45 days so any help on how I can fix this without buying another?

The other monitor I have, that I bought at the same time and same brand, is fine.

I forgot to mention that the bottom right of the monitor where all the settings and power buttons are gets extremely hot, like can cause burns if I hold onto it hot, so I just shut it off.

It looks like hardware issue; did you try talking to the store that sold it?

There may be several reasons for your laptop screen flickering:-

Loose or damaged cable connection: A faulty cable connecting the screen to the motherboard may cause flickering.

Outdated or incompatible drivers: If your computer’s display drivers are outdated or incompatible, it may lead to screen flickering issues.

Faulty screen or hardware: A faulty screen or internal hardware component can also cause flickering.
Overheating: Overheating the laptop can cause the screen flickering issue.

Software issues: Some software or apps may cause some problems, leading to screen flickering.
Incorrect refresh rate: An incorrect refresh rate setting may also result in a flickering screen issue.

You can start by checking your HDMI, Display-Port, or USB-C cables. Ensure that the cables are securely connected to both the monitor and the laptop. Make sure that the cable is fully tightened and it doesn’t look
or feel loose. This applies to all cable types, which can become loose for various reasons.

Plug in your system to an external monitor to check if the issue reoccurs. If the problem does not occur on the external
display, it may be due to a hardware issue with the laptop’s screen. Next is to make sure that the graphic card driver is update. Outdated drivers may cause incompatibility, leading to screen flickering problems. Regularly updating drivers ensures optimal performance and a flicker-free experience.

Also to note overheating can cause hardware issues so, routinely check your laptop’s temperature to
ensure it is not overheating. Make sure you clean any dust or debris from the vents and fans to improve airflow.

Several reasons can cause your laptop's screen to flicker, such as faulty hardware like a damaged screen,  incorrect settings, outdated software, or bad display drivers. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve the screen flickering issue.

Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the same issue occurs, try booting into safe mode with basic  video settings to see if the display adapter or other drivers need reinstalling. If this is a recent problem,  restoring the system to a previous point may be helpful. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it could be due to a loose connection with the panel cable, which might be an easy fix. Alternatively, the screen itself may need replacement. In that case, I recommend visiting Acer services for professional help.
