Hi Acer Community,
I recently bought an Acer Nitro AN16-41 from Amazon, and I'm trying to update my system firmware (BIOS). Here are the details:
- Laptop Model: Acer Nitro AN16-41
- Firmware Vendor: Insyde Software
- Current Firmware Version: 55217120 (1.10)
- Firmware Date: 5/31/2023
I've already done the following but still can’t find an update or confirm if I have the latest firmware:
- Checked Acer Support website: I looked for updates under the BIOS/Firmware section for my model, but didn’t find anything matching my current version.
- Used Device Manager: Searched for updates via Windows, but it says my firmware is already up to date.
- Installed Acer Care Center: It didn’t show any firmware updates.
- Found current firmware on the Microsoft Update Catalog: After searching, I discovered that my current version (5.43.1.10) is listed here. It looks like Windows installed this version automatically.
At this point, I’m not sure if:
- This is indeed the latest version for my model.
- There’s a newer version not available via Windows Update or the Acer website.
Has anyone else with the Acer Nitro AN16-41 been able to update their firmware, or know if this version is the latest one available? Any guidance on where I might find official updates would be much appreciated!
