SFE16-43 Acer Swift Edge 16, two loud beeps on startup
My laptop has been doing this for awhile now, but I'm not sure how long. Is this normal or does it indicate an issue? Once in Windows everything seems fine. Laptop was purchased on eBay through Acer as a certified refurbished about a year ago.

Generally, beeping should only occur when the power is turned on/off or is interrupted by a loose plug/power panel, surge protector or fused outlet. If you have checked all that and everything looks OK I would just ignore that sound as others reported on this forum the same 2 beeps on startup wth this model. 😉

We don't have a list of potential beep codes that POST may generate, but there is certainly one that happens when POST has been successful. As mentioned, there is also a beep when the charging circuit changes status, either be connecting or disconnecting the charger. My guess is the two beep at startup show that POST was a success and that the charger is connected.

I have the same issue with my laptop. Sometimes it's only one beep though. Actually, it's a bit annoying becuase the beeps are really loud!
