Yes, The GM7000 NVMe PCIe SSD is compatible with the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (model PHN16-71-74H1), as it supports M.2 2280 form factor and PCIe Gen 4.0 interface, which are standard for this laptop model. As for storage capacity, 2TB is safe to install but some sites recommend 4TB, you could try them at your own risk because I haven't seen anyone installed a 4TB SSD. I suggest negotiating with the seller to check if a 4TB SSD is compatible with your laptop before making a purchase. If they allow you to test it and it doesn’t work, then you can opt for a 2TB SSD instead. This way, you minimize the risk of buying an incompatible drive.

    As for comparison-

Comparison of GM7000 NVMe PCIe 4TB SSD and Samsung 990 Pro NVMe PCIe 4TB SSD

    Build Quality:

    • GM7000: Features a graphene-laced foam pad for enhanced heat dissipation, promoting better thermal management under load.
    • Samsung 990 Pro: Known for robust construction and includes an optional heatsink for improved cooling, ensuring durability during intensive tasks.

    Heat Management:

    • GM7000: Utilizes a custom foam pad to manage heat effectively, which is crucial for maintaining performance during high workloads. GM7000 can reach temperatures of 85°C during intensive tasks, leading to noticeable throttling.
    • Samsung 990 Pro: Offers excellent thermal performance with its heatsink option, keeping temperatures low even under heavy use. The Samsung 990 Pro without a heatsink is still a viable option, as it operates at a maximum temperature of around 72°C under load, which is high but not critical for performance or longevity.

(The Samsung 990 Pro with samung default heatsink may not fit in the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 due to height constraints. While the SSD itself is designed for the M.2 2280 form factor, the added heatsink increases its dimensions, making it potentially incompatible with laptops that have limited space. If i remember correctly your laptop come with default heatsinks for M.2 SSDs. These integrated heatsinks are designed to effectively manage thermal performance, allowing SSDs to operate efficiently without additional cooling solutions. If your laptop has a pre-installed heatsink, you typically won't need to worry About) To confirm if it has heatsink installed

Open the Laptop: If comfortable, carefully open the back panel to visually inspect the M.2 slot for any installed heatsink or thermal pads.

    Performance:

    • GM7000: Delivers sequential read speeds up to 7400 MB/s and write speeds up to 6400 MB/s, with strong random IOPS performance.
    • Samsung 990 Pro: Slightly outperforms with read speeds up to 7450 MB/s and write speeds up to 6900 MB/s, excelling in both sequential and random operations.

    Long-Term Reliability

    • Both drives are backed by a five-year warranty. The Samsung 990 Pro is noted for its consistent performance and reliability over time, making it a preferred choice for demanding applications.

In summary, while both SSDs offer excellent performance and durability, the Samsung 990 Pro may provide slightly better long-term reliability and performance consistency. The GM7000 excels in thermal management. Your choice may depend on specific needs such as cooling solutions or brand preference.
