  • Hi @rpurbey personally, I don't see it as necessary, a larger capacity disk doesn't provide better performance. If what you want is more storage, I recommend buying a 2.5" USB external disk.

If you want to increase current 'Aspire Lite AL15-41' 512GB M.2 SSD boot drive capacity to 1TB M.2 SSD then you need to clone your 512GB drive onto the new 1TB drive.

First determine what Acer 512GB oem M.2 SSD drive manufacturer your drive is, and if it’s a WD then use the WD cloning software called Acronis True Image for WD or if its Samsumg is Magician Data Migration etc or whatever another manufacturer has a a cloning software. As that will allow you to clone the oem 512GB boot drive OS of your 'Aspire Lite AL15-41' and transfer all the data onto the new 1TB M.2 SSD drive, it’s a very simple process but you also need to buy an external M2 NVME SSD to Type-C 3.1 / USB 3.0 Portable External Drive Enclosure Case to put the new 1TB M.2 SSD drive into so you can do the cloning process. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
