Hi All!
I have a Aspire S 13 ultra book with intel core i3 6th Gen and 4 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD, I came to know that I cannot upgrade RAM on this model, but the menu in the task bar is showing 2 of 4 slots used.
what does this mean?

Hi, the Acer Aspire S 13 S5-371comes with either 4GB or 8GB on-board memory, soldered to the motherboard, so unfortunately cannot be upgraded. Windows Task Manager will count all slots on the motherboard either used or not, 2 slots contain the soldered RAM and 2 slots on the motherboard are not used for this model, probably reserved for the 8GB version. There are no free removable RAM slots for this laptop.

The "2 of 4 slots used" message can be slightly misleading. Your Aspire S 13 ultrabook shows 4 memory slots, but the RAM is soldered directly to the motherboard, so you can’t upgrade it. This means that while it’s using the 4 GB of RAM effectively, there’s no way to add more since it’s all fixed.
