Type C Charging Issue with Acer Swift X SFX14-41G

When charging the laptop using a USB-C charger, the charging indicator repeatedly turns on and off, accompanied by a beeping sound. This issue occurs even when the device is turned off. Previously, the laptop charged without problems using a 65-watt USB-C charger. However, this issue does not occur when using the barrel charger.

The SFX14041Gs left side laptops USB Type-C Port connects to USB devices with a USB Type-C connector and support DisplayPort over USB-C and its not a USB-C full on charging port. Always use the oem Acer provided adapter which for the your Swift SFX14-41G is a barrel adapter that should be a LITE-ON 90W 19V 1.1 x 3.0 x 7.7 Blue PA-1900-32A3 LF Black 90W_3phy, Meet CoC adapter Acer part #: KP.09003.010. So be aware of that as that is why you are having these charging problems with an aftermarket charger.

This model comes with a 90-W barrel plug adapter (see picture) that you should be using.

You can use a special laptop USB-C charger of at least 100 Watt that has a fixed USB-C 10 Amp USB-C cord, a universal USB-C charger won't work. This is the USB-C charger recommended by Acer for the new Swift X models (also available at Amazon): 100W ADAPTER KIT WITH POWER CORD (USB-C CONNECTOR) | Acer Store – US

The stock charger, is as shown, a 90W with the barrel plug. The USB-C circuit allows charging with a 65W charger, but will be slower than the stock charger. Spec says:

So more than 65W for the USB-C charger doesn't help. The 'turn on, then off' symptom for the USB-C charging is likely caused by the charger itself. It's monitoring your battery charge and turning off when you reach a full charge, then turning back on when the charger drops a bit. Since Windows does than beep each time the charging status changes, you get the beep more often than you would prefer. You shouldn't see that with the stock charger…
