As in the title my Laptops display started to develop a horizontal glitching lines a month ago at 144Hz but was working fine at 60Hz, same happens with acer boot screen and BIOS.

I have Tried:

  1. Reinstalled Drivers
  2. DDU all display drivers and reinstalled
  3. Rolled back to Older Nvidia Drivers
  4. reinserted display cable into motherboard
  5. Upgraded to latest Nvidia drivers using the Nvidia App
  6. Ran sfc /scannow

Currently using CRU to use display at a lower refresh rate. Wanted to know of a solution other then the usual screen replacement and the cause of this problem.

Also wanted to know how to get display out of HDMI in BIOS as I cant get it to work with eDP cable removed and closing the lid after powering on laptop with hdmi connected.

Attaching pics of broken display.
