Dear Acer Support,

I am reaching out regarding a recurring issue with my Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52 laptop. Whenever I plug in the charger, it initially shows that the battery is charging.

However, after about a minute, the battery status changes to "not connected," and I experience a significant drop in performance.

To restore the connection, I have to unplug the charger from the wall and then replug it. This gives me another minute or two of charging before the cycle repeats.

I would like to note that:

  • This issue occurs even when using low-power applications like Firefox, so it is not related to running intensive software like Fortnite.
  • I have ensured that my BIOS, GPU drivers, and Windows 11 are fully up-to-date.
  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled the battery drivers without success.
  • The power cable is securely connected at all times, so this is not due to a loose connection.

I kindly request your assistance in diagnosing this issue and finding a solution.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards.
