How do I know if I have activated the warranty on my newly bought laptop?

We just bought a laptop and I already did the process of registering its warranty. I have not yet received any clear indication that the warranty has been activated. Where do I check it or should I wait for an email? (Since I read somewhere that confirmation will be sent via email within 5 days). My worry is that the allotted time for activating my warranty might reach its deadline since the store said that I should activate the warranty within a week of purchase… and today is the last day.
