Is it common for Acer XV240Y's display port to fail?

The display port on the monitor failed couple days ago. The monitor would constantly reset.

I tried a different DP cable. Same issue.

I tried the same DP port on my video card with another monitor, works fine.

Tried the Acer on the video card DP port that is used for the working monitor. Monitor continues to reset.

Finally tried using the HDMI port on the monitor. Works fine.

Is this monitor worth repairing?

The input Signal of your XV240Y monitor is as follows: DP (v1.2) + 2 HDMI (v2.0) + Audio Out +SPK. If the DP port keep turning on and off its the actual port pins that could be faulty and/or have come lose from the mobo pins and needs either resoldering or the DP V1.2 port replaced. replacing. If you have a technician that specializes in monitors repairs, also get a quote and see if its worth for the port to be changed or if its cheaper to get a new monitor if its something else and deeper that needs replacing, cost depends on a technician's time to fix the fault. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Below is the Xv240Y Mainboard part where the input ports are soldered onto the board, the DP port needs to be checked if its not lose, and its pins are soldered properly and making 100% contact with the mobo traces.
