Issues with Acer Laptop Performance After Windows Update

Hi all,

After a recent Windows update, I've noticed significant performance drops on my Acer laptop. Programs are taking longer to load, and the system is lagging, especially when running multiple applications. I’ve already checked for driver updates and scanned for malware, but the issue persists.

I’m managing my travel website and rely heavily on this laptop for daily tasks, so any downtime is really affecting productivity. Has anyone else experienced performance issues after a Windows update on their Acer device? Any suggestions or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Windows11 updates don't slow down performance, if you are still running W10 22H2 then maybe it is time to upgrade to Windows11. Check in Task manager your background processes those should not exceed 75 if you have hundreds running uninstall all 3rd-party and pre-installed programs or at least disable these services and see if that speed things up. If you reply tell us your PC full model and what Windows OS you have installed (without your favorite URLs). 😉

I would suggest you to Run Maintenance task

The Run maintenance task checks issues that might slow down your computer's, such as how many users are currently logged on to the computer and whether multiple programs are running at the same time.

    Follow the below steps.

Press Windows + X on the keyboard.

    Select Control Panel.

    Select Troubleshooting.

Click on Run maintenance task under System and Security.

    Follow on screen instruction.
