Regarding Windows updates in windows 11

hi, I just wanna know, in windows 11 of ur cold booting every time will any updates installing always say something like please wait or x%done? So are there updates that don’t show that and just install without telling you?

    Hi, not sure what you are asking but if you have configured the "Check for updates" as the picture below, you will be asked (twice a month) if you want to install an update, updates will never be installed automatically by Windows but if you have manually installed drivers from 3rd-party vendors, not deemed compatible by Microsoft, Windows will automatically replace these with OEM drivers when you boot. 😉

    like basically do all updates happen during boot or are there some other types of updates that dont

    Updates happen based on what options you have set in the screen Puraw shows you. Depending on those settings it will do updates in the background while you are using the machine or do them at certain times of the day. If they aren't able to be installed because the machine is shut down, they often happen when you first start back up. If the update doesn't require a reboot it will happen without seeing anything special, if it requires a reboot you will see the percentage display when starting up or when rebooting.
