so my nitro 5 laptop I replaced the hard drive with an ssd about 5 months ago and all is great but randomly the other night no detectable drive popped up on the screen. I tried to get into bios but the password didn’t work, I unplugged the ssd/battery/cmos and let it sit for 30 min and then I tried it again and the bios didn’t reset. I tried my old hard drive and my windows came up. Does anyone have the master bios password or know anyway to help me please!

BIOS password on all modern laptops is stored into the chip itself, for security reasons. From all I know you need to take it to Acer center to reset or remove the BIOS password.

Your new drive may be missing proper drivers.

  • There are guides online for bypassing this password on Acer laptops, search online as I can't give you the link as community EULA (End-User License Agreement) forbid any guides to hack a bios or a hard drive. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
