THERMAL PASTE/PAD, is it okay to put thermal ''pads'' on the yellow circle?

is it okay to put thermal ''pads'' on the yellow circle? or its better to be ''paste''? and whats the difference between pads and paste? thank you in advance!! im just new when it comes diy with repasting.

    Yes, the vram chips can be covered with a good dissipating heat thermal pad as there is no difference between pads and pad paste, Acer uses paste as its easier to apply and make sure that the thermal module makes contact with the vram chips.

    As the purpose of a thermal pad is to make full contact with the cpu, gpu paste and all vram paste or pads, so that the thermal module once its fully secured with its screws, the vram chips and cpu, gpu heat will be dissipated fully and will be cooled properly by the thermal module.

    Suggestion: Use the Thermal Grizzly paste and pad products, as they are known to be of a very high quality for gaming laptops and desktops. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
