Scan lines and flickering on an XB273 monitor

Hey all, my Acer Predator XB273 monitor occasionally has an issue where it develops scan lines, flickering and artificial burn-in

The problem occurs at random several times a week and lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to over an hour, varying in intensity. Sometimes, it is very subtle, but other times, it degrades the signal to the point of being unusable

The issue persists when no DisplayPort or HDMI cables are connected, visible on the "no signal" screen. I have tried different IEC cables, outlets in multiple buildings, various PDUs, and running through an Eaton pure sine wave UPS. The issue occurs across macOS and Windows on different GPUs

My assumption is there is some internal hardware failure, and I was wondering what my next steps would be in having the monitor serviced

Yes, if it shows up with nothing connected other than the power, it's a hardware issue with the monitor. If you are still in warranty then just contact Acer through their support pages and start a repair ticket. If you are out of warranty I believe they have repair rates that vary from country to country, so again you will have to contact them to find out the cost.

These monitors are not worth repairing as the repair is more than a new monitor is worth, a change of screen could be the solution but that costs more than the monitor.

This is the screen for the Acer Predator XB273 monitor
