Issue with “Super Sharpness” Setting on Acer Nitro 31.5 (XZ322QU V3bmiiphx)

I recently purchased an Acer Nitro 31.5 (XZ322QU V3bmiiphx) monitor from Costco. I have encountered an issue with the “Super Sharpness” feature.

I disable “Super Sharpness” using the joystick and OSD menu. However, every time I make a change to my display settings, such as switching between inputs (DisplayPort to HDMI) or changing the refresh rate (e.g., from 60 Hz to 120 Hz), the “Super Sharpness” setting automatically turns back on.

I would like “Super Sharpness” to remain OFF permanently. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to permanently disable "Super Sharpness" so that it stays off even after changing inputs or refresh rates. The monitor seems to be resetting this setting as part of its normal behavior.

My recommendation would be to simply get in the habit of disabling "Super Sharpness" each time you make a display setting change. It only takes a moment to toggle it off using the OSD menu and joystick. Over time, this will become a quick routine.

Alternatively, you could try contacting Acer ccustomer care to see if there is any way to modify this behavior or if a firmware update might address it. However, based on the information available, it appears this is simply how the monitor functions rather than a fixable issue. Contacting customer care would be useless for such thing. These issues appear to be common across multiple brands, indicating a broader trend in monitor settings management.

The good news is that once you disable "Super Sharpness", you can enjoy a cleaner, more natural image on your Acer Nitro monitor. With a little practice, disabling it will become second nature each time you make display adjustments. Let me know if you have any other questions!

This is unfortunate and slightly infuriating.
Same problem when my computer goes to sleep and turns back on.
Oh well, thanks for the reply.

If anyone from the future is reading this, please share DDC control for "Super Sharpness" so that open source projects like dddcontrol, and alternatives, can allow me to control this from the computer.
