X34 P Monitor half of backlight is not working

I've been having an issue with the right half of my X34 P going dark intermittently. The display is working fine and I can see the screen if I look closely or hold a light up to it. I actually RMA'd it a few months ago for the same issue. Unluckily the issue didn't occur when the technician had it plugged in so ultimately they did absolutely nothing but send it back unchanged with a new HDMI cable (I wasn't even using HDMI)

Now it's out of warranty and the same issue keeps occurring. I've tried unplugging it and holding the power button for 30 seconds to discharge it, updating and reinstalling drivers, switching between DP and HDMI, and changing the deep sleep and Windows power settings with no luck. The only thing that works is just waiting until it wants to turn back on again.

Since my chance to have it fixed under warranty was blown I was wondering if there was anything else I might be able to try before I'm on the hook for an out of pocket repair.

For a dim LED screen on your X34P monitor, you need to either replace the appropriate LEDs or get an experienced technician to diagnose the LED section of the main board if its got any burned out chips or have the entire board replaced or the screen replaced. I've included for your information the appropriate parts from the Acer Predator X34P service guide that you may need (if you can get them?) below, this is a complicated and specialist job to take on and fix, and I wouldn't suggest that you do it yourself. If you need a new screen then they are available, so have a look here LM340UW3-SSA1. Good luck and hope this helps you out in some way.
