I have nitro 5 ANSI 515-45 with ryzen 7 5800h and nividia geforce rtx 3060. I want add external egpu graphics card for use with Ai .how can I add it?

If you’re going to use an eGPU enclosure, you need to have a Thunderbolt 3 or a Thunderbolt 4 port types on your laptop, or else it won’t work. Most laptops have that tiny lightning symbol Thunderbolt port that allows you to use any of these enclosures. If you don’t have this port, you sadly won’t be able to use these modern eGPU enclosures that are available on the market.

You can use an eGPU setup with the WLAN slot, which is a different setup, so look for guides and the appropriate hardware on the web as there are many but be careful as the modern laptops bios can restrict the WLAN M.2 slot from an input image as it could need a bios setting to set the graphics to an eGPU from its internal CPU/GPU graphics which your laptop hasn't got. Below is your Nitro AN515-45 USB specs and as you can see your laptop does NOT have a Thunderbolt USB-C which is required for the eGPU, so your laptop can ONLY have an eGPU connected to its wireless card slot, so look at that setup up as also with that setup there are bios restrictions to your laptop operating with an external graphics, so be aware of this!

Hi, the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45 does not support eGPUs via its USB-C port. This model’s USB-C port is primarily for data transfer and does not support Thunderbolt 3 or 4, which are typically required for eGPU functionality.
