I've noticed that recently on my Acer Nitro 5 laptop, the speaker volume is very low when I'm playing games. This issue is resolved when I use headphones. I've tried updating the drivers and several other things, but nothing has worked. Even at maximum volume, the speaker produces very low sound. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Hi, it is the basic Realtek audio chip and small speakers causing this, best to get a pair of external USB speakers with an internal amplifier, Windows sound settings include Enhancements that will boost the volume and Windows Media player has an equalizer in the context menu as well as DTS that boost the sound volume up to 12db. Changing the Music mode to Movie in the Realtek Audio Console also helps.

  • Try the FXSound enhancer as its free and it worked for my Nitro 5 laptop very well, but you have to realize that the volume level in these laptops is not only governed by the audio drivers as its largely governed by the internet and what recorded volume of the signal. These laptops have a basic audio amplifier. Check the Intel and NVidia audio drivers if they are not corrupted or refresh these driver s to renew the audio, as that is way to solve a low volume issue. Good luck.
