Your Nitro AN517-54 also has Gen 4x4 boot drive as your laptops interface SSD1 and SSD2 M.2 SSD drive speed is determined by what model NVidia gpu you have like I've explained above. but your AN515-54 laptop has a fast Gen 4 M.2 SSD1 boot drive and you should be using a fast Gen 4 SSD drive like a 1TB Samsung 990 Pro as this drive will give you a tested Read speed of 6900MB/s and Write speed tested of 6800MB/s which is like 500% quicker than the WD SN530 Gen 3 x4 SN530 boot drive that you have now, as that is what is slowing your laptop down.

Also, upgrade the ram to 32GB at 2x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 (see caption below) or look at Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 (Intel) RAM & SSD Upgrades where they recommend and have ram to increase to a max total of 64GB which is even better for video editing and multitasking of your laptop👍good luck and hope I've helped you out.

You can follow this guide first-

windows 10/11 optimization guide for gaming

Main solution- someone partially found a way to fix this
Do clean driver installation then open Nvidia control panel as administrator and enabled developer mode and changed the option to allow all users access. However, if change back or overload the PC, the fps is low again, but it's enough to enjoy the game at the moment.

I believe it's happening because of intel and nvdia driver conflict. It might be fix soon.

What is your Nitro 5 laptop exact model number, as its allot easier to advise you more precisely on why your fps have dropped if we know the exact model laptop you are talking about???

If your laptop is the Nitro AN515-57 as that model is a Nitro 5 model that has the i7-11400H cpu, then I've noticed that you are using a WD SN530 M.2 SSD drive which is a Gen 3 x4 drive and your laptop if its an AN515-57 with the i5-11400H cpu uses a Gen 4 x4 type M.2 boot drive. so, the WD SN530 M.2 is at least 100% slower drive than a Gen 4 x4 M.2 SSD drive that you should be using as the WD SN530 could also be faulty and restricting your fps gaming performance.

If you have the Nitro 5 AN515-57 model laptop change the boot drive or the gaming drive to a Gen 4 x4 drive like the Samsung 990 Pro that is the quickest M.2 gen 4 x4 drive on the market as that will improve your gaming performance by 200% to using the WD SN530 M.2 drive or even if your laptop has a Gen 3 x4 boot drive specification use the better performing Gen 3 x4 Samsung 970 EVO Plus as it will give you much better performance and fps for gaming. Also follow the above GAMING6698 excellent windows 10/11 optimization guide for gaming guide. Changing the adapter doesn't do anything as the laptop only works on a certain wattage and increasing that could damage your laptop so be very careful and only use the oem Acer adapter for your laptop. Good luck and hope this gives you some more ideas of why your fps have dropped.
