Comparing the Intel Core i7-13700HX and i9-13900HX

The Intel Core i9-13900HX is the more powerful processor compared to the i7-13700HX:

    • It has 8 more physical cores (24 vs 16) and 8 more threads (32 vs 24)
    • Its base clock speed is 100 MHz higher at 2.2 GHz vs 2.1 GHz
    • Its max turbo boost frequency is 400 MHz faster at 5.4 GHz vs 5.0 GHz
    • It has a larger 36 MB L3 cache compared to 30 MB on the i7
    • In benchmarks, the i9 scores 24% higher in multi-threaded CPU Mark tests and 6% higher in single-threaded tests

However, the i7-13700HX has a better value score of 69.7 compared to 66.4 for the i9 . This suggests the i7 offers better performance per dollar.

    Laptop Pricing

It's unclear why a laptop with an i7-13700HX would be priced higher than an identical model with an i9-13900HX. Some factors that could influence pricing:

    • Availability of components and supply chain constraints
    • Retailer/OEM pricing strategies and discounts
    • Specific laptop model, brand, and other included features

Without knowing the exact models and prices being compared, it's difficult to say definitively why there would be a price difference. The i9 is the faster CPU, but the i7 has a better value score, so pricing may come down to the laptop maker's target market and profit margins.

As for wifi card it is not advisable someone from our community tried to do this upgrade on his Nitro 5 AN515-56 that also has the oem Killer AX1650i Wi-Fi-6/BT card and replaced it with an Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211 card and it didn't work, so I'm advising you from personal experience, only use the Acer supplied Wi-Wi/BT card. Good luck.
