Does Spin 5 SP514-51N-7513 support switching to AHCI in BIOS?

Does Spin 5 SP514-51N-7513 support switching to AHCI in BIOS like the precedesors (https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/876353/#Comment_876353)?
Anybody running it with GNU/Linux?
Thanks

No need, just disable VMD in the BIOS Advanced tab and the RST functions will be disabled. Be sure to do a full Windows backup first, if it is using the RST functions than disabling VMD will break Windows, at which place you would need to do a reinstall and recovery using the backup. Typically the base Windows install, along with Acer specific enhancements, does not use the RAID functions iRST provides, so disabling it doesn't affect the Windows install, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks for you info, @billsey
So … I bought the laptop :)
In fact, it did boot POP_OS without issues even with the default BIOS settings, I just disabled Secure Boot.
Anyways, since it is a laptop, closed, just one nvme bus, no possibility of actually using multiple storage devices (so any RAID), I disabled VMD in BIOS and installed both both GNU/Linux and Windows with it disabled.
I am facing an issue with the internal camera (webcam) not working https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/714080/how-to-enable-the-internal-camera-on-sp514-51n-in-gnu-linux#latest

Yes, I posted a message on that other thread. You shouldn't have had to disable secure boot for the Linux install, the larger distros all have signed EFI files as far as I'm aware. If they don't be sure and set the EFI file they do use as trusted, the re-enable secure boot so you have that security hole closed…

Regarding Secure Boot, it's tricky… I believe it is not officially supported

Pop_OS! is a bit weird… They jump through some hoops to make everything user friendly, which break a lot of things that more astute users expect.
