I bought a Nitro 16 AN16-41 laptop a few days ago. The laptop is very good but when I enter any game, I hear a sizzling sound from the left side of the laptop (I think the GPU is located in that part). Is this a normal Coil Whine situation, should I worry about it?

  • Hearing a sizzling sound from your Acer Nitro 16 AN16-41, particularly when gaming, could be indicative of coil whine, which is common in laptops with powerful GPUs. This noise typically occurs under load due to electrical components vibrating. If the sound is not excessively loud or disruptive, it may not be a cause for concern. However, if it becomes bothersome or is accompanied by performance issues, consider contacting Acer customer support for further evaluation.

You are under warranty for one year so, if it get worst then you can send it to service center.

In summary as long as the laptop is functioning well otherwise, you can continue using it and monitor the coil whine. But if it becomes problematic, don't hesitate to utilize your warranty coverage and reach out to Acer support for assistance.
